Join the Jersey Surfboard Club today and you will be insured to surf in British waters.
Just download your membership form from this website and return it to the address provided. Shortly we hope to have forms available at all surf shops. Laneez have form available now.
Once we have received your details we will be in contact with the Jersey Harbours Department who will register you to ride a surfboard both in the Channel Islands and the UK.
Please note a change in our insurance structure will take effect in June. Until June part of your annual Jersey Surfboard Club membership subscription goes toward paying a premium to Surfing GB (formerly known as the British Surfing Association) to gain cover for any claim made against you whilst surfing in British waters. This insurance indemnifies the insured member for damages and legal costs arising out of third party loss, injury or damage in connection with surfing, up to a limit of £5,000,000 per single claim.
This cover is a legal requirement for surfing in local waters.
Please note that the board is not registered. Only the person who is riding the board is registered.
For more information please contact Tobi Mathews or Malcolm Corrigan.
Surf safely this summer!
